How to Attain Isle of Man Innovator Visa

Basic requirements:

You can apply for an Isle of Man Innovator visa in the following circumstances:

You are planning to set up or run a business in the Isle of Man.

You satisfy the other eligibility requirements. 

Your business or business idea has been endorsed by the Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man Government has endorsed your business or business idea.

You are required to have a minimum of £50,000 in your investment funds if you are willing to establish a new business. You are not required to have funds if your business is already set up and has been endorsed for an earlier visa.

Being endorsed:

The Department for Enterprise is the only endorsing organization in the Isle of Man for the Business Migrant route as given in the Isle of Man Immigration Rules and holds the responsibility for providing the Letter of Endorsement you will be required to have to support your visa application.

Eligibility criteria for the Isle of Man Innovator Visa:

Before applying, you are required to have your business or business idea evaluated by the Department for Enterprise.

They will give you an endorsement letter if finding your business viable.

You are also required to fulfill the following requirements:

Fulfill the English language requirement

Your age must be at least 18

You need to prove that you have sufficient personal savings to help yourself when you are in the Isle of Man

How to prove your English language competency?

You need to prove that you have a good command of English when you apply for the Isle of Man Innovator visa. It is one of the major Innovator Visa requirements.

You can prove your English competency by either:

·        Passing an approved English language test with a minimum of CEFR level B2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening

·        Holding an academic qualification that was taught in English and is accredited by UK NARIC as being equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or Ph.D.

·        You are not required to prove your knowledge of English in case of having proved it to be level B2 or above in an earlier positive application

Necessary documents you need to submit:

While applying, you need to give a Letter of Endorsement given by the Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man Government.

You are also required to provide the following:

·        A current passport or any other valid travel identification

·        Bank statements proving you have had a minimum of £945 in savings in your bank account for 90 consecutive days before you apply. It is the proof that shows that you can keep yourself. Another thing to remember here is that it must be separated from the money from your investment fund

·        Evidence that you satisfy the English language requirements  

·        Proof of your investment funds (if you are establishing a new business)

·        Your tuberculosis test results if you are coming from any country where this test is a must-have

You need a blank page in your passport for your visa.

You will be required to offer a certified translation of any documents that are not in English.

You may be also asked to offer extra documents. It is dependent on your circumstances.
