Isle of Man Immigration Service Processing Times

 Isle of Man Immigration:

Before you prepare for Isle of Man Immigration, you must the following facts about the   system:

The Isle of Man is an internal dependency that governs itself of the British Crown; Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of State. Being a dependency of the British Crown, the Isle of Man has the right and utilizes the services of the British Embassies and other diplomatic offices all over the world. One of the services offered by British Embassies is to work as agents in terms of managing initial visa applicants that are submitted for the Isle of Man.

Isle of Man, the UK, the Channel Island (Bailiwick of Jersey/Bailiwick of Guernsey) and the Republic of Ireland together form a CTA (common travel area). It means those applicants who have entered the common travel area and who have been examined for immigration control (for instance in the United Kingdom) don’t need to have leave to enter any other part of the CTA. Simply, travel between the UK and the Isle of Man Immigration is an internal domestic journey, and there is not any separate immigration or other control.

However, certain people are subject to the Immigration (Control of Entry Through The Republic of Ireland) Order 2016 who enter the Isle of Man by means of the Republic of Ireland do need to have leave to enter and must report to the Isle of Man Immigration Service when they reach the Island to get their visas issued.

Isle of Man Immigration rules:

New Isle of Man immigration rules have come into effect on 23 February 2022. The changes that are done have been close to the Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant visa route to new candidates. The candidate with a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant visa may continue to apply on the route through to settlement.

The United Kingdom has closed its foreign investor route because of security issues about the source of funds that have been utilized in some applications. The investment types allowed under the route were also found not beneficial to the economy the way it was expected. The route closure in the United Kingdom was made with immediate effect from 17 February 2022 so that a surge in late applications can be prevented.

An Investor route replacement will be introduced in the future.
