·        Maintaining employee and public safety

·        Taking up work in a way that protects the environment and contributes to sustainable development

·        Adhering to codes of conduct, codes of practice and the legal and regulatory framework

·        Handling, using and enhancing safe systems of work

·        Carrying out the CPD which is necessary to maintain and improve competence related to responsibilities and duties

·        Actively taking part within the profession

·        Exercising responsibilities ethically

·        Adopting a security-minded way

·        Recognizing diversity and inclusivity

How to apply for becoming a CEng?

You can apply for Chartership in the two ways listed below:

1.   Online via Career Manager, the IET’s online skills development and recording tool for fewer application fees.

2.   Using a paper application form that can be requested from the IET website.

 

Things you are required to submit:

Proof of your competency and commitment: adhere to the UK-SPEC competency framework given above for guidance on how to do this.

You will also be required to have:

1.   One person to support your application. If you want, you may have two additional supporters.

2.   An accountability diagram

3.   Your development action plan

4.   Higher educational certificates
