Dreamers of Canada immigration, especially in Saskatchewan, find APEGS work reporting extremely challenging. Sometimes, they don’t have a clear idea of what to do, and sometimes, out of nervousness.

If you are one of such who is preparing for Saskatchewan immigration as an engineer, then read this blog. It will provide helpful tips for APEGS experience reporting, which will help you attain a positive assessment from the Association of Professional Engineers or Geoscientists in Saskatchewan.

APEGS work experience reporting for engineering license:

Work experience is necessary to make sure that you are eligible for an engineering license within the proposed scope of professional practice.

The following is a list of the elements that your engineering working experience report must have:

·        Communication

·        Management

·        The application of theory

·        Practical experience

·        The social engineering implications

Whether your work experience will be accepted or not will be determined based on the extent to which your experience included these areas.

The necessary number of experience reports depends on the application category and the number of positions you have that are related to the application.

A separate report is important for a separate job. Two experience reports are also important in the one-year probationary period. Experience in the experience report must have verification from the professional engineer under whom you worked.

Note: you have to make sure that you use the form for Engineering Licensee work experience. It must not be for the ones reporting Engineering-in-Training working experience.

For instructions and guidelines on APEGS work experience reporting:

1.   A registered member-in-training and member-in-training applicant (an international candidate), assigned with confirmatory exams, can start with the experience reporting.

2.   In case of having working experience as a professional engineer in the USA and also having an NCEES record, your NCEES record will be enough for APEGS working experience reporting. It means your NCEES record would be sufficient for the APEGS form submission. Here, you don’t need any other experience report.

Results or experience reviews are never given over the phone. You will get them over email when they are ready. So, don’t contact the APEGS office for the results. It would take nearly 1 to 3 months for reviewing the experience report, and if there is any issue related to the report, the authority will contact you.

How to calculate your APEGS working experience?

The skilled working experience which you earned has to be paid work including earned commission or paid wages. APEGS doesn’t count unpaid internships or volunteer work.

You can work less or more than 15 hours per week for part-time work, and it works as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours. You can work more than 1 part-time job to earn the hours necessary for the application.

How to earn a successful work experience report assessment from APEGS?

You are advised to attain the designing work while working on enlisting an architect in-preparing.

Keep a record of all work understanding and executing expert advancement exercises in a configuration that was enough for building affiliation.

Not need to pick up Canadian work understanding before you apply to a participated designing relationship. Different types of other participation methods can be conceded meanwhile.
